Musgrave Harbour

Driving east of Gander Bay alongside Route 330 on Road to the Shore you will arrive at Musgrave Harbour. With a rich history, this community is probably best known for a tragic plance crash that occured over 60 years ago. This accident claimed three lives, including that of Sir Fredrick Banting, the co-discoverer of insulin. Visitors can learn about his achievements at the Banting Interpretation Centre. Also take the opportunity to explore the intriguing history and heritage of Musgrave Harbour at the Fisherman's Museum and the Orangeman's Hall.
